LED Desk Lamps for Office Furniture Dealers: A Sourcing Guide

About me

Hi, I’m Helen, the Marketing Manager at Royelamp. I specialize in bringing high-quality LED desk lamps to wholesalers in the USA, UK, and the Netherlands. I love connecting with customers, ensuring they get reliable, competitively priced products. Let’s work together to brighten spaces and create lasting partnerships!

A customer choosing a desk is also choosing a place to work. A well-matched task lamp gives your sales team another useful part of that workstation to demonstrate—and gives the buyer a reason to purchase the complete setup from you.

For office furniture dealers, the sourcing challenge is finding lamps that fit the desks you sell, have an easy-to-explain role in your range, and can be reordered in a clearly specified configuration. This guide uses three RoyeLamp models to show how to build that shortlist and turn it into a practical sample request and bulk quotation.

Start with the desk families already selling.

Consider RY26-A for a compact freestanding option, RY229-B for an articulated clamp-mounted task light, and RY36-C for a wide-head workstation option. Select the formats your furniture supports, then approve samples before deciding the order split.

Match the lamp to the desks you already sell

Review your main desk families before adding another accessory SKU. A compact home-office desk, a height-adjustable workstation and a large executive desk can require different mounting and cable arrangements. Group them by physical layout and customer use rather than by furniture price alone.

For each family, record the usable work surface, rear-edge access, underside obstructions and typical monitor position. Identify where the customer reads or writes. A lamp should serve that task area without taking over the keyboard space or obstructing accessories your dealer already supplies.

On mobile, swipe inside the table to compare the options.

Furniture situation Starting point Check before recommending
A compact desk with no accessible or approved clamp position RY26-A freestanding lamp Base footprint, stable placement and usable head reach beside the monitor
A desk with a suitable edge and a defined reading or writing area RY229-B articulated clamp lamp Edge profile, underside clearance, arm movement and position holding
A larger workstation needing a broad horizontal lamp format RY36-C wide-head clamp lamp Space for the 800 mm head, mounting position and light at actual task locations
A sit-stand desk with a cable tray and monitor arm Choose only after a complete fit check Clamp conflicts and cable travel through the desk’s full adjustment range

A stated clamp opening is only one dimension. An apron, bevelled edge, glass top or cable tray can change whether a mounting position is suitable. Confirm the furniture manufacturer’s restrictions and approve the complete desk-and-lamp arrangement.

Give each lamp a clear role in your range

Three different formats can give your sales team more useful choices than several lamps with nearly identical positioning. You do not need to launch all three: start with the desk families and customer needs you can demonstrate confidently.

RY26-A: an accessible task-light add-on

The foldable, adjustable format suits a shortlist for compact desks where a separate base is acceptable. The listed configuration includes five colour-temperature modes, five brightness levels and an integrated phone holder.

Its cable-charging USB output is a separate function from lighting; this model is not presented as a wireless-charging lamp. Show the actual base footprint and adjustment range beside the desk you plan to pair it with.

Dealer demonstration: Move from a keyboard task to a notebook and show how the head can be repositioned without rearranging the desk.

POSITIONABLE TASK LIGHT / CLAMP

RY229-B: a focused upgrade for a clear desktop

RY229-B combines a single circular head with a four-axis articulated structure and a desk clamp. It offers a way to position a task light while keeping a freestanding lamp base off the work surface.

The product listing specifies five colour-temperature modes and five brightness levels. Check useful reach and arm clearance with the monitor and storage accessories installed; movement shown on an empty desk may not remain available in a complete workstation.

Dealer demonstration: Position the head over the customer’s document area, then show access to the controls from the seated position.

WIDE WORKSTATION / 800 MM HEAD

RY36-C: a distinct option for larger setups

The 800 mm horizontal head gives RY36-C a visibly different role in a furniture display. Consider it when a buyer wants a wide lamp format above a larger task area and the desk provides a suitable clamp location.

Its published features include five brightness levels and a 45-minute timer. Confirm the exact colour-temperature settings for the quoted configuration. Head length alone does not establish usable coverage, so evaluate a sample with the intended screens in place.

Dealer demonstration: Place documents at the actual working positions and check both illumination and screen reflections from the chair.

Images are product illustrations, not documented dealer installations. Final compatibility and ordered features should be checked against the approved sample and written specification.

If customers specifically request an integrated charging and information display, compare RY2309 separately. Its listed wireless-charging function serves a different buying need; verify the intended phones, cases and power supply before promoting that feature.

Sell the workstation experience with a useful demonstration

Put the sample on a desk customers can actually buy. Use the same monitor arm, cable tray and typical accessories as the proposed bundle. A polished display that hides a mounting conflict creates a problem for the installer later.

Keep the demonstration short and repeatable: show the mounting position, illuminate a real reading task, adjust the brightness, and let the customer operate the controls. Check the view from the chair as well as from the showroom aisle. OSHA’s workstation environment guidance recommends arranging task lighting to avoid reflections on the screen; this is a useful practical check for your display, not a claim that a lamp makes an installation compliant.

Give staff a desk-and-lamp compatibility card.

Record the desk SKU, lamp model, approved mounting position, power-supply arrangement and the limitations found during the sample check. Add a photo of the tested setup. This makes recommendations more consistent when different salespeople handle the same furniture range.

Use concrete descriptions such as “articulated task light for this desk’s writing area.” Claims such as “fits every desk,” “eliminates eye strain” or “lights any dual-monitor setup” need evidence that a product image or a feature list does not provide.

Check the commercial case before setting a bundle price

Ask for a quotation that separates the lamp, included power supply, branding, packaging and shipping basis. A lower unit price is difficult to compare if one offer omits components needed to sell or install the product.

Evaluate contribution per completed saleNet lamp revenue − landed product cost − incremental fulfilment and installation costs − expected service costs

If the lamp is discounted inside a furniture bundle, use the actual incremental revenue after that discount. Include applicable import costs and local handling when comparing offers. Check packaged dimensions and whether the lamp will ship separately; its retail box may change your fulfilment economics even when the desk delivery is already arranged.

For the trial, record sample-to-quotation enquiries, lamp attachment to desk orders, contribution per sale and compatibility-related returns or support contacts. Those observations can justify a repeat order more reliably than assuming that an extra feature will command a higher price.

For a broader cost worksheet, see our wholesale desk lamp pricing guide. Keep the dealer decision tied to your own selling price and service model.

Approve a focused first order

Start with the smallest assortment that covers materially different customer needs. For example, a dealer whose range is mainly compact desks and adjustable workstations might evaluate RY26-A and RY229-B first. Add RY36-C when a wider-head option has a clear place in the showroom and customer demand. This is an assortment example, not an approved mixed-order offer.

  1. Choose representative desks. Include any edge, tray or monitor configuration that could change the result.
  2. Request paid samples. Specify the target market and proposed configuration; agree sample cost, shipping and timing before payment.
  3. Record acceptance results. Check fit, stability, controls, cable routing, packaging and the actual task-lighting experience. For adjustable desks, check the complete movement range.
  4. Freeze the order specification. Confirm model, finish, accessories, power supply, branding, quantity and applicable documentation. Keep a reference sample and written record for repeat orders.

RoyeLamp’s catalogue lists starting MOQs of 10 units without a custom logo and 100 units with a logo, with paid samples available. Confirm how the MOQ applies to each model, finish and branding configuration; do not assume quantities can be pooled across your assortment. The listed production lead time is 15–30 days, subject to order confirmation. Sample preparation, transport and destination handling require their own schedule.
