About me

Hi, I’m Helen, the Marketing Manager at Royelamp. I specialize in bringing high-quality LED desk lamps to wholesalers in the USA, UK, and the Netherlands. I love connecting with customers, ensuring they get reliable, competitively priced products. Let’s work together to brighten spaces and create lasting partnerships!

USB-powered and wall-powered are not necessarily opposite categories: a USB desk lamp can receive power from an adapter plugged into a wall outlet. For a wholesale buyer, the important distinction is the complete configuration—what the lamp requires at its input, which source and cable provide it, and what is included in the carton.

Do not decide brightness, reliability or charging capability from the connector shape alone. Define the supply package before comparing quotations.

Separate three different uses of “USB lamp”

Ask the supplier which of these descriptions applies:

  • USB input: the port supplies power to the lamp.
  • USB output: the lamp supplies power to an external device.
  • Battery charging input: the port charges an internal battery; confirm separately whether the lamp can operate while charging.

A product can have more than one of these functions. Mark each port and its direction on the specification sheet so that buyers, packaging teams and customers do not mistake an output for an input.

USB Type-C describes an interface and is not synonymous with USB Power Delivery. The USB-IF terminology guidance makes that distinction explicit. A USB-C socket is therefore not sufficient evidence that a lamp accepts PD or can charge a laptop.

Compare the supply configurations, not just the lamp prices

Configuration Questions for the supplier Purchasing decision
Lamp supplied without an adapter What input is required? Which cables and sources have been checked? Decide whether your channel can clearly communicate the required separate accessories
Lamp with a matched USB adapter Which adapter, supported output and cable are included? Compare quotations using that exact package
Lamp with a dedicated DC adapter What voltage, connector dimensions and polarity are specified? Record the matching adapter and replacement-part information
Lamp with claimed USB PD input Which input profiles are accepted, and what happens with another supported source? Request evidence for the stated profiles rather than assuming all PD chargers behave identically

These are possible configurations to evaluate, not a list of features available on every RoyeLamp model. Confirm actual model availability before including a feature in your own product listing.

Ask for the complete operating power budget

For a basic lamp, check operation at every advertised lighting mode. For a multifunction lamp, add the advertised charging functions and other loads that are intended to operate simultaneously.

Ask the supplier to identify:

  • Input requirements and supplied adapter outputs.
  • The lighting settings used for the quoted performance.
  • Which external charging functions may operate together.
  • Any shared-output limit or reduction when several functions are active.
  • The exact cable and adapter used for the sample test.

Input watts, light output and charging output are different quantities. A connector label cannot establish all three. Nor should a lamp be called “flicker-free” simply because it is supplied with a wall adapter.

USB PD can support substantially different power levels across implementations; USB-IF describes the protocol's system-level power management. That capability is not a specification for a particular desk lamp. Use the lamp's documented supported configuration.

Check the sample as your customer will receive it

Unpack the proposed retail package and photograph its contents. Confirm whether the adapter is included, the cable length is sufficient for the intended installation and the supplied plug fits the destination market's intended outlet arrangement.

Within the manufacturer's rated conditions, check the following:

  1. Start the lamp using the supplied source and cable.
  2. Exercise the advertised lighting and control modes.
  3. Operate the simultaneous functions described in the quotation.
  4. Record unexpected dimming, resets, charging interruptions or control changes.
  5. Compare the instruction sheet and package claims with the observed functions.

Do not substitute a random higher-voltage adapter because its plug fits. Electrical safety and market compliance require appropriate review of the actual product configuration; an ordinary functional sample check is not a substitute.

If battery operation matters, use the separate rechargeable desk lamp battery guide for runtime evidence and battery documentation. If phone charging is the purchase driver, continue with the wireless charging lamp RFQ checklist.

Make the quotation comparable

Use this request block when asking for a quote:

Please quote the selected lamp model and quantity for our destination market. Identify the lamp input, supplied adapter model and output, cable type and length, included accessories, and supported simultaneous functions. State any accessory exclusions and provide a sample in the proposed supply configuration. List available model-matched documentation separately from general company certificates.

Keep changes to the adapter, cable or power-related components subject to review. Otherwise, a reorder can share the original product name while differing in a way that affects installation or customer support.

Choose a model, then confirm the power package

Start with the RoyeLamp product catalogue and your intended use. If the RY26-A foldable desk lamp suits the physical format you need, ask for its current input and included-accessory details; do not infer PD, battery operation or charging outputs from this guide.

Orders start from 10 units without a custom logo, or 100 units with a custom logo. Paid samples are available. The stated lead time is 15–30 days; ask for the configuration, schedule and delivery terms to be confirmed in your quotation.

Request a configured sample.

Frequently asked questions

Are USB-powered lamps always dimmer?

No. Compare measured lighting performance under the specified supply conditions. Connector type alone does not establish useful brightness.

Does a USB-C lamp always support Power Delivery?

No. Ask for the lamp's accepted input specifications and verify any PD claim for that model.

Does “adapter included” make two quotes equivalent?

No. The adapter specification, cable, plug configuration and supported functions must also match.
